Our tester Ally really rated the Momcozy M6 for its features, its comfort and efficiency, saying it compared very well with other pumps. While the pump is not particularly discreet, Ally liked its hands-free functionality, saying it made a huge difference to be able to go about her day while pumping at the same time.
"Overall, I found the pump very useful. I think my favourite feature is the timer - it means I can just put it on and I don't think about it again until it's finished! It's comfortable and efficient and compares favourably with the Medela Swing. I think it offers good value for money when compared with other similar pumps."
How we tested the Momcozy M6 Breast Pump
Mum-of-one Ally tried out the Momcozy M6 Breast Pump over a testing period of two and a half months. As an exclusively breastfeeding mum, Ally mostly used the pump to help her build up a supply of spare breastmilk to freeze for her baby daughter, who was aged between one and four months at the time of testing. During the testing timeframe, Ally took careful notes on how well the M6 performed, including ease of use, efficiency, noise levels and discretion. Having also used a Medela Swing Double Electric Breast Pump, she was also able to directly compare the performance of the two pumps side by side.

How do you use the Momcozy M6 Breast Pump?
Once the Momcozy M6 pump has been charged and all parts cleaned and sterilised and reassembled, the pump simply fits over your breast (be sure to use the cardboard measurer to get the right flange size) within your bra. Ensuring your nipple is centered on the milk collector, you switch the pump on using the buttons at the top and select which mode and speed you require. Once done, you switch it off and remove.
"I am exclusively breastfeeding currently, and I use the pump once or twice a week to help build up a store of frozen milk. I use the 'standard' preset mode as I've found this to be the most effective for me."

Is the Momcozy M6 Pump comfortable?
"It is comfortable once it is in the right position. I do have to re-adjust it sometimes, because if it’s not positioned correctly, it doesn’t collect milk. I have got into the habit of setting a five minute timer to check the milk is being collected, and if not, I re-adjust it."

Has the Momcozy M6 Pump ever leaked?
"No. Once it's in my bra I feel very confident moving around without it leaking. I feel like once it's in the correct position there is enough suction to keep everything in place."
How noisy is the Momcozy M6 Breast Pump?
"It isn’t very noisy and I could use it in an office or, more likely, in the car. Not sure I would use it out and about as it is quite bulky and it would be obvious." - Parent-tester Ally
How efficient is the Momcozy M6 Pump?
"I believe it is powerful enough, I don’t have a huge supply so I think it collects what it can (usually 50ml to 80ml per breast)."

Is the Momcozy M6 heavy or awkward to wear?
"No, it’s not awkward or heavy. The rounded shape helps it fit nicely into my breastfeeding/pumping bra. I can wear a t-shirt over the top too."
How does the Momcozy M6 compare with other breast pumps you've used?
"My other pump was the Medela Swing Double Pump. I could move around, but the pump uses a tube and it would often get in the way. I can easily make tea, or something to eat, and use my laptop with the Momcozy. The Medela sometimes leaked and this one doesn’t. It is much quieter too and I don’t seem to notice the dreaded buzz of a pump anymore, which I did when I first started pumping with the Medela."

How sturdy is the Momcozy M6 Breast Pump?
"It feels very sturdy and well-made. I wouldn't worry at all about it breaking, particularly if I were using the handy travel case!"

How easy is the Momcozy M6 Breast Pump to clean?
"It's very easy - you just take the electrical part off, and then the milk collector part splits into individual pieces which are very easy to rinse and pop in the steriliser. It has never faded and still looks as good as new."

How discreet is the Momcozy M6?
"I scored the M6 three-and-a-half stars out of five for discretion because although it is comfortable and relatively quiet, it's still very obvious that I'm wearing it. You can't help but see the extra bulge on the chest - think Dolly Parton!"
"I can see it being very useful if you work from home, and I would perhaps use it if there was a private area to pump in the office. But I wouldn't use it in public." - Parent-tester Ally
