Best Eurocamp sites in Spain: fun holiday parks for affordable family breaks

Dreaming of a fuss-free family holiday in Spain? We’ve gathered the best Eurocamp sites loved by Mumsnetters for the perfect Spanish camping break.

By Madeline Littlejohns | Last updated Sep 4, 2025

If you’re looking for a fun and affordable family holiday in Spain then you really can’t go wrong with Eurocamp. Spain is home to some of the best Eurocamp sites in beautiful locations like the Costa Brava and the Costa Verde.

Mumsnetters love the on-site amenities on offer, with most Eurocamp sites featuring swimming pools, playgrounds, and lots of outdoor activities to keep families busy. There are normally kids’ clubs available too, so parents can relax for a bit while the little ones are entertained. And with a range of accommodation options designed with families in mind - from well equipped lodges to premium holiday homes - there’s something for everyone. And given that the price of a Eurocamp break includes your accommodation, activities and access to kids' clubs, it's brilliant value for money.

Staying on a Eurocamp site is a great way to see Spain on a budget, thanks to a range of carefully chosen locations near beaches and popular attractions. Many of the sites are also accessible by public transport which is great if you’re looking for a car-free holiday. And for real peace of mind they’re ATOL and ABTA protected, as well as coming highly recommended by Mumsnetters looking for an affordable family holiday.

For more inspiration, check out our roundups of the best Eurocamp sites in France, Italy and the Netherlands, as well as handy guides to the easiest Eurocamp sites to get to from the UK and sites that are close to airports.

“We loved it - the kids still sing the songs from the entertainment! We did go to Barcelona, Sitges and Tarragona from there and did day trips (in fact we stayed over at Barcelona, but my children were older). And Portaventura too. There's plenty to do in the park and on the beach for younger children.”

Our verdict

Set in subtropical gardens with direct access to the beach, Playa Montroig has pretty much everything you could possibly want for a family holiday in the sun.

There’s a brilliant pool complex with four pools, five waterslides, and a dedicated toddler area with lots of water games and jets. The site also has a fully-equipped fitness centre, tennis courts, and a crazy golf course, as well as five playground areas. Need to refuel after all that fun? Head to one of the four bars and three restaurants on site, or pick something up from the bakery or supermarket.

They even provide bedding and linens for you and make up the beds ready for your arrival which is a huge help if you prefer to travel light.

Playa Joyel is Eurocamp’s only site on Spain’s northern Green Coast and it is well worth a visit to experience the stunning location between the Atlantic Ocean and the Cantabrian Mountains. The site has direct access to a gorgeous sandy beach as well as a simple pool complex with a family pool and a kids’ pool side by side.

There are some great facilities at Playa Joyel, including a bar, two restaurants, a supermarket, an ice cream parlour, and even a hairdressers. The site is also great for active kids, with two outdoor playgrounds, an indoor play area, tennis courts, and a kids’ club for 5 to 12-year-olds. International de Calonge and Cala Gogo, actually next to each other on the Platja d’Aro area of costa brava, Spain. I loved these - both to stay completely on site when the kids were younger (access to own beach and plenty of pools etc) and then as they got older I took them walking along the coast line, lots of lovely little beaches to stop at, and then Platja d’Aro itself has lots of restaurants etc.

A short walk from sister site International de Calonge, Cala Gogo is another big, lively site that the whole family will love. With stunning views of the Med and direct access to a private beach, you can really make the most of its stunning Costa Brava location.

There are two on-site family pools and a children’s pool (with awesome sea views from the waterslides!), as well as playgrounds and plenty of sporting activities like tennis and basketball. In the evenings there are discos and shows for the whole family to enjoy after dinner and drinks at one of the site’s bars and restaurants.

We enjoyed the Eurocamp site Sanguli in Salou. It was a short transfer and had fantastic pools and facilities for toddlers.

Our verdict

Expect the unexpected at Sanguli thanks to fun features like an African-themed pool complete with a menagerie of spraying animals. The pool is just one of four complexes on site, each one offering something special like a waterfall, massaging bubbles, and even a swim-up bar.

If you can drag yourself out of the water then you’ll also find a great range of sporting activities to try as well as a crazy golf course and trampolining nets. Have spent many a happy holiday at the Bella Terra campsite in Blanes. Absolutely adore the place. Nice beach (not sand) with a shelf but I think a longish walk out before you get to the shelf. A train to take you into Blanes proper, lovely market, harbour and prom to walk along. We always used to drive but flying into Girona is not too far away. Barcelona is about two hours away by shuttle bus but there is a train that goes direct to Blanes if you want to go that way.

Our verdict

With a name like Bella Terra, meaning ‘Beautiful land’, it’s no surprise that this site is set in a gorgeous location full of palm trees and vibrant flowers, with panoramic views of the Catalonian coast. It’s a great site for busy families, with a pool complex that includes a family pool and a fun children’s splash playground with a bucket drop and lots of slides. There’s also a playground and sporting activities available, as well as a kids’ club for children aged 6 to 10.

There’s also plenty to see and do in the local village of Blanes, and after a busy day you can relax with dinner at one of Bella Terra’s restaurants and drinks at the bar.

I've been to Vilanova twice at Easter. Vilanova is a lovely park, small but the pools are good, loads of sporty stuff to do. Shop's ok, restaurant is good.

Our verdict

If you’re looking for a car-free family holiday then Vilanova Park is the answer, with a regular coach service running between the site and Barcelona airport. You can also use this service for day trips to explore the city itself.

Of course, there’s plenty to do at the site if you don’t want to spend all your time on day trips. The pool complex features three family pools, and two toddler pools (with incredible sea views from the waterslides), as well as a solarium, a sauna, a jacuzzi, a whirlpool and spa. There are also kids’ clubs available for all children of all ages, a playground, a crazy golf course and a variety of sporting activities to keep everyone busy.

In Spain Park Playa Bara was huge but felt open and friendly. Flew into Barcelona and then train. Fabulous beach near by and a small modern town a short walk away.

Our verdict

This relaxed toddler-friendly site has a (bizarre but beautiful) ancient Roman theme that encompasses themed landscaping and free entertainment in an impressive Roman amphitheatre. Despite the look and feel of the resort, the facilities are all lovely and modern, offering fun in the sun for the whole family.

The pool complex has four pools, six slides, and a sauna, as well as a spa offering everything from manicures to massages. There are also kids’ clubs available and lots of activities to enjoy including a crazy golf course, five playground areas, and discos in the evening. And when the family gets hungry you can head to one of the site’s bars and restaurants, or pick something up from the supermarket.

Do Eurocamps in Spain have WiFi?

Most Eurocamps in Spain do have WiFi available, but a lot of the time it’s only available in certain parts of the parcs and charges sometimes apply.

Can you take dogs to Eurocamps in Spain?

While some Eurocamps in Spain don’t allow dogs, most do let you take them on holiday with you. You’ll most likely have to keep them on a lead though.

What’s included in the price of a Eurocamp holiday?

Your Eurocamp stay includes accommodation, access to the kids’ clubs, and use of on-site facilities including swimming pools, activities, and entertainment. Meals aren’t included so you’ll need to make your own food or head to the on-site restaurants. Duvets and pillows are generally provided but you’ll need to bring your own linens, or reserve them in advance of your trip.

What’s the best Eurocamp in Spain?

We think the best Eurocamp site for families in Spain is Playa Montroig on the Costa Dorada. This large, toddler-friendly site has everything you could need for a great holiday, from comfortable accommodation and a great choice of places to eat, to a beautifully sculpted pool complex. There’s also crazy golf, five playground areas, and a range of sporting activities to keep the whole family happy.

How we chose our recommendations

Because we know that there's nothing like a real recommendation from a fellow parent, we first headed to the Mumsnet forums to find out which Eurocamp sites were being recommended for families.

We then did some research looking at which Eurocamp destinations had won accolades and what customer reviews said about them. We looked at on-site amenities, accommodation options and location. Having collated all that information, we then narrowed our list down to the best Eurocamp sites for families.
